Itinerary
This is what our trip looks like so far. The only things that are certain currently are the hotels that we’re staying at in each city - all of the side trips will be determined once we get there, and based on what we feel like doing that day. There are so many possibilities and it’s so overwhelming to choose just a select few, but I’ve tried to narrow down our choices.
June 9th
Fly out of LAX at 12:20am. Layover in Seoul, South Korea. Land at Tokyo Narita Airport at 12:10pm Japan on the 10th.
June 10th - 14th
Tokyo. We’ll be staying at the Century Tower Hotel in Shinjuku. In addition to experiencing the grandeur that is Tokyo, we’re also hoping to check out the JR Railway Museum, Hakone and/or Nikko while there.
June 15th - 19th
Tokyo Disney! Staying at the Miracosta resort that’s actually inside Disney Sea.
From Disney, we’ll activate our JR Pass and take a train to Kyoto.
June 19th - 22nd
Kyoto. We’ll be staying at the ANA Hotel. We’re looking at taking side trips to Nara, Himeji, and Monkey Mountain.
June 22nd - 23rd
Koyasan. Train/bus/cable car to Koyasan. Staying at Shojoshin-in Buddhist Temple one night.
From there, we take a train to Osaka for our last night in Japan.
June 23rd- 24th
Osaka. Staying at the Swissotel, which is directly above the main train station in Osaka. We’ll have time for some sightseeing before we leave, hopefully.
June 24th
Fly from Osaka Kansai Airport at 12:50pm. Layover in Seoul, South Korea again. Land at LAX at 11:30am. Yes, we’re traveling back in time!
